Our most magical event of the year is BACK! We cannot wait to kick off the holiday season with our 5th annual Holiday Magic event on November 26th! From picking out the perfect Christmas tree while sipping on a warm cup of hot cocoa, to enjoying story time with Santa or a horse and carriage ride around downtown Raleigh, The Merrimon-Wynne House has it all for you! So help us celebrate the holiday season the only way we know how. . .

with lots of holiday magic and cheer!

EVENT DETAILS

EVENT SCHEDULE:

 The event will take place from 11AM - 4PM. 

• Storytime with Santa will take place at 1PM and 3PM - during this time, milk and cookies will be handed out for any children participating.
• Photos with Santa will be taken throughout the entire event with the exception of during storytime. Photos will be emailed out to attendees in a large gallery following the event.

EVENT ACTIVITIES:

• Throughout the entire event, Wicked Links will be serving food under the pergola for purchase. 
  
• Hot Cocoa and Warm Apple Cider will be available complimentary at its own designated station.
• Beer, wine, spiked warm beverages and water will be available at the main bar for purchase, however, each adult ticket includes one complimentary drink.
• Two bounce houses will be set up on the lawn - one will be designated for children under 5 years old and one will be designated for children 5 years & up. 
• The Carriage House will have the following children's activities: 
• Letters to Santa
• Cookie Decorating
• Snowglobe Making

CHRISTMAS TREE SALES:

We will have a limited quantity of Christmas Trees (on the lawn) for sale during the event. If you are interested in purchasing, please let a member of our team know. Christmas Trees will be tagged the day of the event & will need to be taken home by 4PM on Sunday. 

HORSE & CARRIAGE RIDES:

If you have purchased a Horse & Carriage ride, please confirm your ride time prior to your arrival on Sunday. There will be a waiting area for the carriage rides on the front lawn of the main house. Please make your way to the front lawn with your entire party no later than 10 minute prior to your scheduled carriage ride so that we are able to load all carriages and begin all rides at the scheduled time. Because the horses need to stay together during the rides, if you are not in the waiting area at your scheduled ride time, the carriages will need to leave without you.

MINI SESSIONS:

If you signed up for a mini-session, please confirm your session time prior to your arrival on Sunday. Sessions will take place on the side porch of the main house. Please make your way to the front room of the Main House no later than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled mini-session. Sessions will begin promptly - if you are late, time will not be able to be added to the back end of your session. 

 If you haven't signed up for a mini session yet and are wanting to do so, we still have spots available and you can purchase tickets here! 

DONATIONS:

A portion of proceeds from Holiday Magic will be donated to our 2024 charity partner, Neighbor to Neighbor. We’re thrilled to be able to raise awareness and donations for Neighbor to Neighbor through our upcoming events and while monetary donations are extremely important and crucial for this organization mission, the nonprofit's most immediate tangible needs are linked here in an Amazon Wishlist. Neighbor to Neighbor will also be onsite during the daytime event to share more about their mission and to collect any physical donations that attendees bring.
