While this celebration was planned as a birthday party, it turned into the perfect example of how The Merrimon-Wynne House can transform any gathering into an experience that feels engaging, elevated, and refreshingly unexpected, making it great inspiration for future corporate events.
With an “adult field day” theme, the afternoon swapped a traditional private room in a restaurant for games, laughter, and connection out on our Lawn. Guests jumped into friendly competition with wiffle ball, relay races, and plenty of cheering from the sidelines. The atmosphere made it easy for people to connect naturally, proof that sometimes the best conversations happen mid-game, not around a conference table.
Think: summer camp energy, but make it corporate.
The fun continued inside our Carriage House with a pickleball tournament on a full-size court, complete with room for spectators to sip drinks and cheer each other on. As the final match played out, our Merrimon-Wynne team transformed the Lawn into an al fresco dinner setup, creating a seamless transition from competition to celebration.

Hundreds of individuals came together in support of our 2025 charity partner, Ripe For Revival , a local non-profit dedicated to combat food insecurity by providing accessible, nutritious food using Mobile Markets. They believe in building communities by utilizing large buses and trailers that are transformed into a pay-what-you-can system to provide access to fresh and local foods to areas that are considered "food deserts." What started as an idea and a dream in 2017 to bring together community members and events industry vendors to make a large-scale impact for one local, grassroots nonprofit has become a reality and grown into an annual event that raises over $150,000 each year! With the amazing support of our sponsors, vendors and local community, we are so proud to announce that $258,610.02 was raised for Ripe For Revival ! Every single dollar that was raised will help bring fresh and affordable food to the Triangle!
